Angus Beaulieu

Angus Beaulieu's passion for art began when he started sketching wildlife, landscapes and Tłı̨chǫ people performing cultural activities at five years old. When Angus turned sixteen, he began experimenting with watercolors and acrylic paint and developed a realistic, yet slightly mystical style of painting.

With no formal training other than a six-month fine arts course in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Angus Beaulieu has quietly developed to become one of the Dene artists in the area.

Today, his artwork reflects the most important aspects of his life - Tłı̨chǫ culture, and beliefs, wildlife, traditional way of living and his family.
